About Interior Visions

Interior Visions as the brainchild of Sue Cloake began it’s journey about 25 years ago. Sue has always been an Interior Designer and curtain maker, and established the business to fit around her young family in the early 1990’s.

"Creating furnishings has always been a passion of mine, and I discovered more and more that customers would come to me with their design needs and problems, and luckily I would be able to offer them a solution, having a good eye for colour and perhaps having encountered a similar design conundrum before.”

Having moved to North Devon from the London area in 2000, Sue became aware that there was a shortage of curtain fabric suppliers. As more and more of her customers were asking where they could buy good quality furnishing fabric at prices that would not break the bank, Interior Visions was born.

We buy ‘end of line’ and ‘discontinued’ fabrics from UK and continental suppliers and, because the designers are happy to clear their stock to us, we buy at a heavily discounted price - which of course we are more than happy to pass on to our customers. We also find that our customers like to see the fabric on the roll, drape and handle it, which is not always possible when searching through a swatch book or online for the perfect fabric.

Although we have only been supplying fabric alongside the Design and Make Up side of the company since 2016, the business has gone from strength to strength with customers originally travelling from all over Devon to visit our once a month pop-up shops and to take advantage of our complete design and manufacturing service. In May 2018, we were offered an opportunity of permanent premises in North Devon and Interior Visions, Northam was born. We have continued to flourish and expand since opening our showroom and have welcomed both returning and new customers on a regular basis.

We pride ourselves in offering a bespoke service to our customers who, for a small deposit can borrow a fabric swatch or a roll of fabric so they can try the fabric ‘In Situ’ before they buy. We also run small regular one off workshops for those who would like either a gentle introduction to creating soft furnishings or would like to further develop their skills in curtain and blind making. Dates for future workshops are posted on our website, follow the link to ‘Workshops’ if you would like to be included in any of our future sessions.
